We are looking for a sharp, detail oriented Medical Biller to join our team at Atlantic Shore Surgical. In this role you will ensure our providers are compensated fairly and our patients receive clear accurate billing. Key Responsibilities
AR & Follow up
- Proactively track outstanding accounts and follow up on unpaid claims.
Denial Management
- Research, appeal, and resolve denied or rejected claims
- Review medical records and documentation to ensure proper coding and billing accuracy
- Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility
Patient Support
- Answer billing inquiries from patients, with empathy and clarity, explaining eob's and payment plans
Compliance
- Maintain adherence to HIPPA regulations and stay updated on payer-specific billing rules
Experience
- Experience in medical billing, or similar RCM role with excellent knowledge of the processes
- Proficiency in Medical Practice software such as Azalea, Epic and Microsoft Excel.
- Clear understanding of Insurance benefits and guidelines
- Ability to interpret complex medical documentation accurately
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with insurance providers, patients, and team members
