About the Role
This role serves as the primary on-site authority for a $25M project in the Harrisburg, PA area. We are looking for a strong field leader to orchestrate the site, manage a roster of 10 independent subcontractors, and drive the project schedule. You will be the "General" on the ground, responsible for site logistics, safety, and ensuring the project moves forward every day.
Field Leadership & Coordination:
- Trade Management: Direct the daily operations of 10 trade contractors. Ensure clear demarcation of scope and resolve field conflicts immediately to keep work progressing.
- Schedule Drive: Own the daily schedule. Coordinate subcontractor activities to ensure critical path milestones are met.
- Site Logistics: Manage material staging, equipment mobilization, and site access for a $20M footprint within a high-traffic environment.
Quality & Compliance:
- Quality Control: Conduct daily inspections to ensure all work meets Commonwealth of Pennsylvania standards and project specifications.
- Safety Enforcement: Implement and enforce a site-specific safety plan. Ensure total compliance with OSHA and state-mandated safety protocols for all personnel on site.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Daily Reporting: Maintain accurate daily logs, including manpower counts, site conditions, progress photos, and incident reports.
- Communication: Provide clear updates to the Project Manager regarding site progress, subcontractor performance, and potential risks.
- Plan Proficiency: Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings to provide clear direction to the field teams.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of commercial construction experience.
- Minimum 5 years in a Superintendent or Field Leader capacity on projects exceeding $10M.
- Proven experience managing multiple trades/subcontractors (Backgrounds in General Contracting OR strong Trade Supervision are welcome).
- Public Works Experience: Demonstrated history of managing state or federal construction projects is a plus.
- Current OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety and Health certification.
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid) for daily reporting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Salary : $110,000 - $175,000
