Ultrasound Technologist - General, Breast & Vascular

Atlantic Medical Imaging is seeking an experienced, highly motivated, and enthusiastic Ultrasound Technologist to join the team in the Galloway region of offices.

Scanning experience in General, Vascular, and Breast is required for this position.

The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for but not limited to:

• Performs ultrasonographic examinations in accordance with established policy.
• Ensures a proper explanation of the procedure has been given and understood by the patient, and, if required, appropriate consent forms have been signed.  
• Assists patients on and off tables, using appropriate lift assist devices as warranted.
• Completes the patient's record of documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
• Completes aseptic technique training and maintains an aseptic standard of care for associated examinations.  
• Ensures that ultrasonic imaging equipment is in operational condition, per established Quality Control procedures.  Notifies the Chief Technologist when equipment requires servicing or repair.   
• Provides input into the process of determining the expansion, growth, development and introduction of new ultrasonography services, equipment and imaging techniques.     
• Performs all other duties as required and assigned.  

This full time, 40 hour per week position will provide coverage in the AMI offices in Galloway, Egg Harbor Township, and Somers Point. Coverage may also be assigned in other regional offices in Atlantic and Cape May Counties.

Potential schedules include:

Five (5) days with eight (8) hour shifts (8am-4:30pm and one evening shift of 11:30am-8pm)

Four (4) days with two (2) 11.5 or 12.5 hour shifts (6:45am-7:30pm, 7:30am-7:30pm, and 8am-8pm) and two (2) 8.5-10 hour shifts (6:45am-5pm, 7am-5pm, and 8am-5pm)

Weekend shifts vary based on office location and include 7:30am-4pm, 8am-4:30pm, or 8am-2pm.  Weekend shifts include rotating Saturdays and occasional Sundays for PTO coverage.

Schedules are subject to change based on business needs.

Candidates must be ARDMS registered with professional work experience as an Ultrasound Technologist.  Experience in General, Vascular, and Breast is strongly preferred.  An American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) is required prior to the start of employment.  Intermediate computer skills, including RIS systems, are required.  Candidates must have a demonstrated knowledge of Ultrasound operations and diagnostic imaging equipment.  

Technologists must be able to work independently and confidently, with minimal supervision.  Exceptional interpersonal skills, with patients and other team members, is required for success in this role.  A demonstrated commitment to a positive patient experience is required.
