AMI is seeking a Part time, 24 hour per week Ultrasound Technologist to join the team in the Atlantic County region of offices!
Part time, 20 hour per week positions at AMI are eligible for Paid Time Off (PTO), Holidays, 401k & Profit Sharing.
At AMI, our technologists perform a variety of Ultrasound studies, including General, Vascular and Women’s Imaging. AMI technologists are skilled, have excellent customer relations experience and are team players. Our Technologists work closely with Radiologists to ensure high-quality patient care.
The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for but not limited to:
- Performing all requested ultrasonographic exams in accordance with established policy and as per established hours of availability;
- Reviewing all patient requests for diagnostic procedures as to designated anatomical part and clinical history;
- Instructing patients regarding procedures and respects patient privacy at all times;
- Ensures that the ultrasound equipment is in excellent operational condition as per established Quality Control procedures; and
- Performing other duties as required and assigned.
This part time, 24 hour per week position will provide coverage in the Egg Harbor Township, Somers Point, and Galloway offices. Coverage will also be scheduled as needed in Mays Landing, Atlantic City/Local 54, and other offices in the Atlantic-Cape region.
The work schedules include 3 - 8 hour shifts with evenings and 2 - 12 hour shifts. This position includes weekend rotations.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate has the following qualifications:
- Minimum of 2-3 years' experience as an Ultrasound Technologist, with the ability to perform all aspects of Sonography with expertise - General, Vascular, Breast and procedures
- ARDMS Registered
- American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross CPR/BLS Certification required prior to start of employment
- Intermediate computer skills
- Knowledge of all Ultrasound operations, including diagnostic imaging equipment
- Must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision
- Ability to produce high quality images and provide documentation accurately and precisely
- Ability to exercise high standards of professionalism and teamwork
- Strong problem solving, decision making and communication skills
- Displays strong work ethic with a friendly and cheerful disposition
