Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Junior Technician role based in Jonesboro, AR. The Junior Technician will assist with the daily operation and maintenance of high-performance computing and digital infrastructure equipment, including monitoring systems, checking status indicators, and responding to alerts. Responsibilities include performing basic hardware checks, assisting with installation, cabling, and replacement of components under supervision, and helping to ensure proper airflow, cooling, and cleanliness in equipment areas. The role involves following standard operating procedures, documenting work performed, escalating issues to senior team members, and supporting scheduled maintenance tasks. The Junior Technician will collaborate with operations, facilities, and network teams to maintain uptime, support troubleshooting activities, and contribute to a safe and organized work environment. Ability to work occasional nights, weekends, or on-call schedules when required.
Qualifications
- Foundational technical skills in computer hardware, basic networking concepts, and comfort working around servers or data center equipment.
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures, document tasks clearly, and escalate technical issues appropriately.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced, infrastructure-focused environment.
- Capability to perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, lifting equipment within reasonable limits, and working safely around electrical and cooling systems.
