What are the responsibilities and job description for the VP of Valuation, Private Equity position at Atlantic Group?
Our client, A 15bn PE firm is looking to hire a VP of Valuations to join the team.
Position Overview
- Overseeing firm’s quarterly valuation process, including a documented mark to market analysis of every security in the portfolio, as well as coordinating with our third-party valuation providers and presenting fair values to the Valuation Committee.
- Help facilitate and drive portfolio review and valuation meetings; set the agenda and key areas of focus, prepare meeting materials to drive business outcomes
- Work closely with other areas of our business (Business Development, Investor Relations, Operations, Underwriting) for specific tasks that arise such as fundraising and material preparation for SEC filings, the Chief Risk Officer, Board of Directors meetings, etc
- Preparing month end reporting packages, analyzing and aggregating valuation results to present at firm’s monthly valuation committee.
- Liaising with 3rd party valuation firms, and coordinating the process for the external valuation review
- Implement and maintain market leading financial planning systems and technology
- Assisting investor relations with reporting on the private portfolio holding
- Leverage Technology to continue to improve data, reporting and analytical processes / outputs (Chronograph Portfolio Management, Anaplan, Workiva – Wdesk, PowerBI) to support a collaborative financial reporting environment
Qualifications
- 10-15 years of Valuation Experience out of an Investment Management Firm or 3rd Party Valuations firm (Duff & Phelps, Houlihan Lokey, Big 4 Advisory)
- CFA is a plus
Comp
- 150-225k base, 300-325k total cash comp
