What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vice President, Valuations - Private Equity/Private Credit position at Atlantic Group?

Reporting to: CFO
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all portfolio company valuation activities across quarterly marks, transaction events, impairment testing, and year-end audits in accordance with ASC 820, IPEV Guidelines, and LP reporting requirements.
- Partner closely with investment teams throughout the deal lifecycle to evaluate underwriting assumptions, portfolio performance, exit scenarios, and market dynamics impacting fair value assessments and investment strategy.
- Develop and maintain robust valuation models for private equity investments, including DCF, trading comparables, precedent transactions, and scenario analyses across multiple sectors and capital structures.
- Present valuation conclusions, methodologies, and supporting analyses to the Valuation Committee, senior investment leadership, external auditors, and limited partners with clear, defensible rationale.
- Drive process improvement initiatives across the valuation function by enhancing governance, standardizing methodologies, and implementing automation, data infrastructure, and reporting tools to improve scalability, accuracy, and efficiency.
Key Qualifications:
- 5 to 10 years of experience in private credit valuation or a related field at an asset manager, BDC, credit fund, or Big 4 valuation / financial services group.
- ASC 820 fair value measurement and its application to private credit instruments.
