About the Role

A leading global real estate investment firm is seeking a Vice President Operations to play a central role supporting our Equity Capital Markets team. This is a highly visible, cross-functional position coordinating investor services, fundraising operations, executive communications, marketing initiatives, and strategic business projects across a global platform.

You'll serve as a key point of coordination across multiple internal teams and external partners, ensuring efficient execution of investor-facing initiatives and day-to-day business operations. This role offers exceptional exposure to senior leadership, investors, and multiple functional areas—making it an ideal seat for someone who wants breadth, ownership, and long-term career growth.

About the Firm

It's a leading global real estate investment firm with over $5 billion in assets under management in high-quality real estate properties and portfolios across the United States, United Kingdom, and Western Europe. Their direct secondary investment strategy spans limited partnership interests, closed-end and open-end fund interests, private REIT interests, joint venture stakes, and structured equity positions in Class A assets.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

  • Long-tenured, low-turnover team — People genuinely stay and build careers here; one of the team leaders has been with the firm for over two decades
  • Cross-functional exposure — You'll interact with investor relations, capital markets, marketing, technology, and executive leadership
  • Internal growth trajectory — Strong track record of internal mobility and career advancement
  • Global platform — Work alongside colleagues across six international offices
  • Sophisticated investor base — Engage directly with institutional LPs, placement agents, and consultants at the highest level

What You'll Do

Investor Services & Operations

  • Coordinate investor onboarding and ongoing servicing activities
  • Manage investor inquiries and ad hoc requests with timely, professional responses
  • Administer the investor portal and CRM system, maintaining accurate records and data integrity
  • Support fund administration activities and investor verification processes
  • Coordinate fundraising virtual data room (VDR) administration
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational processes and investor experience

Fundraising Operations

  • Maintain and manage the fundraising prospect database and pipeline
  • Prepare fundraising dashboards, reports, and CRM analytics
  • Coordinate due diligence requests and fundraising materials
  • Manage coverage assignments and fundraising workflows
  • Serve as a liaison with placement agents, consultants, and distribution partners

Investor Events & Executive Communications

  • Lead planning and execution of the Annual Investor Meeting including logistics, registration, vendor coordination, agenda development, and post-event follow-up
  • Support quarterly investor webinars and virtual events, including speaker coordination, platform administration, and attendee reporting
  • Assist with LPAC meetings, investor conferences, and other client-facing events

Marketing & Communications

  • Coordinate marketing collateral and investor communications
  • Assist with website updates, LinkedIn content, newsletters, and thought leadership initiatives
  • Coordinate conference announcements, podcasts, and media-related activities
  • Support external PR initiatives and collaborate with marketing vendors

Vendor & Relationship Management

  • Manage relationships with third-party service providers supporting IR, fundraising, marketing, and technology initiatives
  • Oversee vendor communications, project timelines, and service deliverables
  • Assist in evaluating and implementing new vendors and technology solutions

Strategic Projects & Business Operations

  • Support operational improvement initiatives and workflow enhancements
  • Coordinate cross-functional projects across the ECM team and broader firm
  • Assist with CRM enhancements, reporting, and data governance initiatives
  • Support technology implementations and automation projects

What You Bring

  • 8–10 years of core investor relations experience (not a pivot into IR)
  • Background in private equity, real estate, or financial services—real estate preferred, but any current FS experience will be considered
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Communications, Real Estate, or a related field
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Professional presence and the ability to interact confidently with senior executives, investors, and external partners
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (required); Salesforce or other CRM experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across global teams
  • Proactive, service-oriented mindset with a willingness to take initiative and continuously improve processes
  • High degree of professionalism, discretion, and integrity when handling confidential information
