What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Private Equity Accountant position at Atlantic Group?
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements for private equity funds in accordance with GAAP
- Maintain general ledger and record fund activity, including capital calls, distributions, and investment transactions
- Perform reconciliations, including cash, investments, and partner capital accounts
- Assist with NAV calculations and investor allocations
- Support the audit process, including coordination with external auditors and preparation of audit deliverables
- Review and analyze partnership agreements to ensure accurate accounting treatment
- Collaborate with internal teams and external service providers (administrators, custodians, etc.)
- Assist with process improvements and implementation of best practices across accounting functions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2 years of public accounting experience (Big 4 or regional firm preferred)
- Experience working with financial services clients, preferably private equity or alternative investments
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
- CPA or CPA track preferred
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with accounting systems
Salary : $95,000 - $120,000
