What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Fund Accountant position at Atlantic Group?
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day fund accounting operations across multiple funds
- Review and approve NAVs, financial statements, and capital account activity
- Manage fund closings, including capital calls, distributions, and investor allocations
- Review partner capital allocations, waterfalls, and carried interest calculations
- Serve as primary point of contact for clients, auditors, and tax providers
- Lead audit and tax processes, including coordination and review of deliverables
- Ensure accuracy of financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and partnership accounting standards
- Identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and scalability
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 4-7 years of fund accounting experience
- Prior public accounting experience is a plus
- CPA preferred
- Strong Excel skills; experience with accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks) is a plus
