Job Overview – Senior Fund Accountant (Private Funds)

Compensation: $100,000 – $130,000/year bonus

Location: Boston, MA

Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)

Atlantic Group is hiring a Senior Fund Accountant (Private Funds) in Boston, MA for our client, supporting fund accounting, technical analysis, and operational oversight across a multi-asset investment platform. This role focuses on accounting for pooled investment vehicles, working closely with internal teams and external providers to ensure accurate reporting, controls, and execution. The position offers exposure to complex fund structures and the opportunity to contribute to process improvements and scalability.

Responsibilities as the Senior Fund Accountant (Private Funds):

• Fund Accounting: Oversee core fund accounting activities including accruals, expense allocations, and NAV review.
• Technical Accounting: Perform accounting analysis for complex fund structures, transactions, and fee arrangements.
• Reporting and Controls: Maintain accounting policies, documentation, and internal controls to support accurate reporting.
• Portfolio Oversight: Support reconciliations, valuation processes, and ongoing fund performance monitoring.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with investment teams and external providers to support fund operations.
  
  

Qualifications for the Senior Fund Accountant (Private Funds):

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required, CPA or similar certification preferred.
• Experience: 4 years of experience in fund accounting or investment operations.
• Industry Knowledge: Experience with private funds or multi-asset investment structures preferred.
• Technical Skills: Strong Excel skills with experience in financial analysis and reporting tools.
• Skills & Attributes: Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
