Compensation: $90,000 – $95,000/year bonus

Schedule: Monday to Friday (In-Office)
Responsibilities as the Property Accountant:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, variance analyses, and general ledger reconciliations for assigned properties.
- Complex Property Management: Manage GAAP and tax reporting for complex properties, including REIT testing, cash distribution worksheets, and tenant lease details.
- Tenant Billing: Process tenant billing for Common Area Maintenance, Real Estate Taxes, and Percentage Rent.
- Budgeting & Audits: Develop annual property budgets and address inquiries during year-end audits with external auditors.
- Communication: Serve as the primary contact for tenant and internal client inquiries related to assigned properties.
- Cash Management: Monitor cash flow for complex properties and ensure accurate distribution and reporting.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
- Experience: 3-5 years in General Ledger and Financial Statement preparation required (preferably in real estate).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel required (familiarity with MRI, AvidXchange, and Anaplan is a strong advantage).
- Attributes: Detail-oriented, organized, and adept at meeting critical deadlines with urgency and precision.
- Software Acumen: Quick learner with the ability to master various financial and accounting software.
