Job Overview – Phlebotomist (Temporary):

Compensation: $20/hour

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

Atlantic Group is hiring a Phlebotomist (Temporary) in Philadelphia, PA for our client, supporting specimen collection, patient care, and laboratory operations in a fast-paced healthcare setting. In this temporary role, you will perform blood draws, ensure proper specimen handling, and support accurate testing while delivering a positive patient experience. Ideal candidates bring hands-on phlebotomy experience and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities as the Phlebotomist (Temporary):

• Specimen Collection: Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws in accordance with established procedures and patient identification protocols.
• Patient Care & Interaction: Provide professional, compassionate care while explaining procedures and ensuring patient comfort.
• Specimen Handling & Documentation: Accurately label, process, and document specimens for transport and laboratory analysis.
• Quality & Safety Compliance: Follow infection control, OSHA, HIPAA, and safety guidelines to maintain a compliant clinical environment.

Qualifications for the Phlebotomist (Temporary):

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: 1 year of phlebotomy experience in a clinical, laboratory, or healthcare setting.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in venipuncture and capillary collection techniques with familiarity using laboratory information systems.
• Industry Knowledge: Understanding of specimen collection protocols, infection control standards, and patient privacy requirements.
• Skills & Attributes: Detail-oriented, reliable professional with strong communication skills, a calm bedside manner, and the ability to work efficiently in a clinical setting.
