A highly regarded, growing private equity firm in Midtown Manhattan is seeking a Management Company Accountant to join its lean, collaborative finance team. This is a hands-on role reporting directly to senior leadership with significant ownership of the firm's day-to-day corporate accounting operations.
Compensation: $100,000–$150,000 base | $150,000–$200,000 total compensation
Location: New York City (5 days/week in office)

What You'll Do
- Own management company accounting from start to finish
- Manage AP, AR, payroll, bank reconciliations, and cash management
- Lead month-, quarter-, and year-end close processes
- Process expense allocations and support management fee billing
- Prepare internal financial reporting and support budgeting/forecasting
- Coordinate with tax preparers and assist with compliance-related requests
- Improve processes and leverage AI/technology to enhance efficiency and automation
What We're Looking For
- 5–8 years of corporate/management company accounting experience within an asset management, private equity, investment management, or related financial services environment
- Strong QuickBooks experience required
- Experience with payroll, expense reporting platforms, and financial reporting
- Detail-oriented self-starter who thrives in a small, high-accountability team
- Genuine interest in utilizing AI and modern technology to streamline accounting workflows
