Atlantic Group is hiring an Internal Audit Lead in Boston, MA for our client, supporting global audit execution, SOX compliance, and risk assessment within a large international organization. This role leads audit projects across financial and operational areas, partnering with business leaders to strengthen controls and governance. The position offers leadership responsibility, global exposure, and the opportunity to influence audit strategy and process improvements.
Responsibilities as the Internal Audit Lead:
- Audit Leadership: Oversee audit engagements including planning, execution, and reporting across assigned areas.
- SOX Compliance: Manage key components of the SOX process including scoping, walkthroughs, testing, and reporting.
- Risk Assessment: Evaluate business processes and identify control gaps and risk mitigation strategies.
- Stakeholder Management: Partner with business leaders to provide insights and strengthen internal controls.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and develop audit staff, providing guidance, feedback, and performance management.
- Reporting & Communication: Present audit findings and recommendations to senior management.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Certification: CPA, CIA, or similar certification required.
- Experience: 8 to 14 years of audit or accounting experience with at least 4 years in a supervisory role.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience within a global or multinational organization required.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of SOX, GAAP, and internal audit standards with experience in audit tools and reporting systems.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
