The Atlantic Group has partnered with a private equity firm in the Mamaroneck, NY area. They have an immediate need for an Accountant to join their team. This position is a full-time contract role with the opportunity to become permanent based on performance. Job Title: AccountantLocation: Mamaroneck, NYIn Office: 2-3 days in office Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to join our finance team. The Accountant will assist in managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity for growth and development within the private equity industry. Key Responsibilities:• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports including the month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes.• Support the maintenance and review of the firm’s books and records and reconcile with the fund administrators.• Engage and interact with the fund administrator, auditors and other external service providers.• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.• Support of the financial statement audit process.• Assist with the preparation and filing of tax returns and other regulatory documents.• Assist with cash management, accounts payable and treasury functions.• Assisting with the preparation of information for investor capital calls, distributions and allocations.• Assist with periodic fund-level communications, including investor letters, annual reports, K-1s and tax forms.• Assist with investor requests and general investor relations support. Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.• 1-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the financial services industry.• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
