What You’ll Do
As the Audit Coordinator, you’ll manage the full audit lifecycle, ensuring audits are planned, executed, and closed efficiently and effectively.
Audit Coordination & Department Support
- Serve as the main point of contact for all audits, reviews, and regulatory examinations
- Coordinate audit schedules, timelines, and deliverables to keep everything on track
- Gather, organize, and submit documentation in response to auditor and examiner requests
- Schedule and facilitate audit meetings (entry, exit, and interim)
- Compile and distribute audit findings and reports to leadership and relevant teams
- Own the Corrective Action Plan (CAP) process—track findings, monitor remediation, and report progress
- Maintain the annual audit schedule and ensure timely completion of all engagements
- Act as the primary liaison to the Supervisory Committee
- Prepare and distribute quarterly reports, materials, and updates
- Coordinate and host quarterly Supervisory Committee meetings
- Provide regular updates on audit results, action items, and audit plan progress
- Stay current on audit standards, best practices, and credit union policies
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities
Requirements
Experience
- 1–3 years of related experience in audit, compliance, risk, or a similar environment
- One of the following:
- Associate degree
- Relevant certification or license
- Specialized training courses
- Comparable job-specific training or apprenticeship experience
- Exceptional organization and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
- Ability to collaborate and influence across departments and with external partners
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving ability
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (preferred)
- Comfortable learning new systems and tools
