Atlantic Emergency Solutions has an immediate full-time opening for an Accounting Clerk in our McConnelsville, Ohio corporate office. Qualified candidates will be required to perform a wide variety of entry-level accounting tasks.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
- Paid holidays (no waiting period)

Work Environment:
- McConnelsville, OH
- Primary work environment is an indoor service and maintenance shop, with occasional field or outdoor work as needed.
Key Job Duties:
- Assist with accounts receivable transactions
- Accounting and clerical assistance to the accounting department
- Prepare and issue customer invoices and statements promptly and accurately
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding receivables to ensure timely payments
- Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding invoices and payment status
- Manage invoice submission and maintenance for customer payment portals
- Data Entry
- Reporting
- Bookkeeping
- Resolution of discrepancies related to any of the tasks he or she performs
- Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
- Provide assistance to and support for team members
- Assist with ensuring the company's daily accounting functions run accurately and effectively
Requirements
What we're looking for:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strive for accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficient with basic computer programs including Microsoft Office, databases, and accounting software
- Must be able to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiar with and demonstrate comfortability with all bookkeeping and accounting practices and procedure
- Must have an aptitude for numbers
- Well organized
Work environment and physical demands:
- This role includes sitting, standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, and kneeling
Successful candidate will possess a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years' related experience. Associates degree or relevant certification is a plus.
