Part-Time School Communications Specialist / Paraeducator – Atlantic Community School District
Atlantic Community School District is seeking a positive, flexible, and student-centered individual to serve in a combined role as a Part-Time School Communications Specialist and Part-Time Paraeducator. This unique position will support both district communication efforts and student learning needs while helping promote a positive school culture and strong community engagement.
Qualifications

High school diploma required; post-secondary education preferred

Experience in communications, marketing, education, or related field preferred

Strong written, verbal, organizational, and technology skills

Experience with social media, photography, graphic design, or website updates preferred

Ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, families, and community members

Paraeducator certification or willingness to obtain certification preferred

Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
Job Responsibilities
Communications Specialist Responsibilities

Experience in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism, or related field preferred

Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills

Experience with social media platforms, graphic design, photography, and website management preferred

Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, families, and community members

Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

Demonstrate the ability to be self-motivated, work independently, and remain accountable for meeting communication timelines, publishing expectations, and project deadlines

Develop and share district news, highlights, promotional materials, and communication pieces that support district initiatives and programs

Manage district social media accounts, website updates, newsletters, graphics, and press releases

Assist with photography, promotion, and coverage of school events and activities

Support community engagement efforts and maintain positive relationships with media outlets, families, and community organizations

Assist administrators with public information requests and district communication needs

Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and positive communication with all stakeholders
