Job Title: Associate Relationship Manager
What You’ll Bring:
As an Associate Relationship Manager, you'll support the development and retention of client relationships with community financial institutions. Working closely with our Relationship Managers and cross-functional teams, you'll assist in growing our client base, deepening client engagement, and ensuring seamless onboarding and product delivery. You'll also serve as a key liaison across departments, helping bring innovative banking solutions to life.
What You’ll Do:
1. Client Relationship Management & Sales Support
- Assist in managing new and existing client relationships to support retention, growth, and increased share of wallet.
- Support the development and delivery of proposals, presentations, and client solutions aligned with ACBB’s value proposition.
- Participate in client onboarding activities including documentation, risk assessment, implementation, and training.
- Use CRM and reporting tools to identify sales opportunities and track portfolio and pipeline activity.
- Maintain up-to-date records in Salesforce and other internal systems.
- Coordinate pre- and post-sale activities such as meeting agendas, follow-up communication, and project plans.
- Act as liaison between clients and internal teams to address day-to-day inquiries and ensure service satisfaction.
- Coordinate with internal teams to support any mergers or acquisitions across the market, with the goal of retaining business when possible.
2. Product & Market Support
- Conduct market and competitor analysis to inform pricing and product development.
- Assist in modeling proposed pricing changes and preparing pro- forma client proposals.
- Collaborate with product teams to identify strategic enhancements based on client feedback.
3. Marketing & Engagement
- Support marketing initiatives such as lead generation, campaign execution, and event planning.
- Participate in training sessions, product demos, and promotional efforts to strengthen client relationships.
4. Client Onboarding & Retention
- Ensure completeness of client documentation and identify process delays or gaps.
- Assist in managing multiple client accounts and assignments, maintaining regular communication to enhance satisfaction and retention.
- Serve as a backup point of contact for clients and schedule client meetings as needed.
5. Professional Development & Risk Awareness
- Build internal and external networks to drive business growth and enhance the client experience.
- Remain knowledgeable of ACBB’s full suite of banking services to provide holistic client solutions.
- Identify and mitigate reputational, regulatory, operational, and credit risks in collaboration with internal risk functions.
Requirements
Basic Qualifications/Skills:
- Education/Training: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field preferred. Relevant banking certifications or combination of education and experience (including military service) may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in relationship management, sales, or business development role, ideally within bank operations.
- Skills: Developing business acumen and critical thinking; Client relationship development and customer service; Effective communication and presentation skills; Sales knowledge and ability to identify client needs; Familiarity with banking products and services; Technological fluency with client facing tools and systems.
