Kennel Technician – Dog Training & Boarding Facility
Location: Atlanta Dog Trainer – Milton, GA
Position Type: Part-Time / Full-Time
Atlanta Dog Trainer is looking for a hard-working, dependable Kennel Technician to help care for dogs and maintain a clean, safe environment at our 3-acre dog training and boarding facility.
This job is very hands-on and physically demanding. It is not just “playing with dogs.” It involves a lot of cleaning, outdoor work, and responsibility for the health and safety of the dogs in our care.
If you love dogs but also understand that animal care involves dirty work, patience, and strong attention to detail, this could be a great opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Cleaning kennels, yards, crates, and facility areas throughout the day
- Sweeping, mopping, dusting, sanitizing, and general facility upkeep
- Scooping poop and cleaning urine in kennels and play areas
- Bathing dogs when needed
- Monitoring dog behavior and ensuring safety during care
- Communicating professionally with clients during drop-offs and pick-ups
- Providing top-tier customer service to dog owners
- Following safety protocols and company procedures
- Staying busy and productive, even when working independently
- Assisting trainers and staff when needed
Work Environment
This is a working farm-style environment, which means:
- Outdoor work in all weather conditions
- Muddy yards when it rains
- Dirty environments from dogs playing outside
- Strong smells and frequent cleaning tasks
- Physical activity including lifting, bending, and walking
You will regularly be dealing with dog hair, drool, mud, poop, and pee.
