Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility to monitor for suspicious activity, safety hazards, or security breaches.
- Control access to the premises using security protocols and access control systems, verifying identities of visitors and staff.
- Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to oversee property security and detect unusual activity.
- Write detailed incident reports for any security-related occurrences, ensuring accurate documentation for future reference.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations by following established procedures, including performing first aid or CPR if necessary.
- Assist with loss prevention efforts by observing and deterring theft or vandalism.
- Perform background checks on visitors or contractors as part of security screening processes.
Experience
- Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of surveillance systems, CCTV operation, and access control technology.
- Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and emergency response procedures is preferred.
- Familiarity with conflict de-escalation techniques and conflict management strategies.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting when required for equipment or incident response.
- Understanding of security regulations, compliance standards, and loss prevention practices.
- Strong communication skills to effectively document incidents and interact professionally with the public and team members.
