What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Attorney position at Atkins David Smith LLC?
Atkins David Smith LLC is a Martindale-Hubbell AV Rated workers’ compensation defense law firm located in Atlanta. Our attorneys represent employers and insurance companies in workers’ compensation matters throughout Georgia. The firm is seeking a highly-motivated associate to join the firm. While workers’ compensation experience is preferred, we will also consider recent graduates.
Atkins David Smith is unique in that the firm gives attorneys meaningful responsibility early in their careers and actively supports their professional development. Our associates learn how to manage claims from start to finish, ultimately with limited partner supervision. Duties and responsibilities include:
- Taking and defending claimant, witness and doctor depositions
- Drafting client report letters, motions and post-trial briefs
- Developing strategies leading to efficient resolution of cases
- Representation of clients at trials and mediations
The firm provides an excellent salary and benefits package including employer-paid health insurance premiums and a matching 401(k) plan. We also currently offer the option to work from home a few days a week.
