Sales Representative — Custom Doors & Millwork

POSITION SUMMARY

We’re looking for a Sales Rep who can hunt, build real relationships, and keep jobs moving without handholding. You’ll target builders, GCs, and interior designers—walking job sites, scoping work, quoting accurately, and driving deals from first contact all the way through production and delivery. If you’re proactive, organized, and thrive in a B2B construction environment, you’ll win here. If you’re an order taker, you won’t.

This role combines prospecting, technical understanding of custom doors/millwork, wood moldings, on-site assessments, and strong follow-through to ensure jobs move smoothly from quote → production → delivery.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Hunt new business through site visits, outreach, networking, and referrals.
  • Walk job sites, take accurate measurements, and understand project scope.
  • Clearly present product options, lead times, pricing, and technical details.
  • Build quotes and proposals that are clean, accurate, and profitable.
  • Run a disciplined sales process: qualify → quote → follow-up → close → schedule.
  • Keep active customers warm and coming back—no dropped balls.
  • Deliver complete job details to production so the shop can run without rework.
  • Coordinate with production and administration to finalize timelines and feasibility.
  • Maintain clean, updated CRM notes, opportunities, and forecasts.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 2 years in sales (construction, millwork, building materials, or manufacturing preferred).
  • Strong communicator who builds trust fast.
  • Comfortable with measurements, drawings, and product specs.
  • Self-driven, great follow-up, and capable of managing a field-heavy schedule.
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills are required; familiarity with CRM is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
