Job Overview: The on-site New Grad Health and Wellness Specialist will manage and implement wellness initiatives and provide injury prevention services. This role involves conducting wellness screenings, providing first-aid treatment, performing ergonomic assessments, and promoting overall health and safety in the workplace. The position will also require active participation in safety meetings and the development of site-specific wellness programs and initiatives. This role will report to the Site Lead or Area Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Wellness Screening and Assessment:
o Perform wellness screenings, including, but not limited to, blood pressure and blood glucose testing.
o Provide orthopedic injury assessments, including musculoskeletal evaluations.
2. Injury Treatment and Case Management:
o Offer first-aid treatment for musculoskeletal complaints (e.g., ice, heat, wellness stretches, massage, tape techniques, and non-rigid bracing).
o Educate client employees on injury prevention, health protocols, and wellness practices.
o Utilize Telehealth services when necessary and applicable, along with appropriate documentation and follow-up.
3. Program Development and Implementation:
o Create and implement wellness programs and initiatives, such as tabling events, lunch and learns, and employee challenges.
o Lead quarterly wellness challenges focused on specific health initiatives (e.g., fitness, nutrition, mental health).
o Implement programs designed by the Health and Wellness Team.
4. Communication and Reporting:
o Regularly communicate with safety personnel regarding wellness activities and injury prevention.
o Prepare and present monthly and annual reports on wellness program utilization, cost-savings, injury trends, and return-to-work outcomes.
o Author articles for newsletters or other communication materials to promote wellness initiatives.
6. Case Management and Advocacy:
o Provide case management services for non-occupational injuries and act as a patient advocate.
o Establish and maintain relationships with external healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care for employees.
7. Safety and Compliance:
o Attend safety meetings, safety stand-downs, and PTP meetings as requested by the client.
o Ensure that administrative tasks (forms, reports, inventory) are completed in a timely manner.
8. Public Speaking and Engagement:
o Lead daily stretch and flex sessions for employees.
o Use public speaking and interpersonal skills to engage with employees on wellness topics and initiatives.
9. Inventory Management:
o Maintain and manage the inventory of wellness supplies for the clinic and first-aid kits.
o Order necessary supplies in a timely manner to ensure all equipment and materials are available when needed.
- Important note: Each client we work with may differ slightly in their requests regarding programs such as Wellness and Ergonomics. It is ATS’ best practice to ensure you understand what your client would like to see in this regard and coordinate with your management team accordingly.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in related field (post 2025 Grads)
- Board Certified Athletic training certification
- State licensure certification
- Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification
- Willing to travel to various client locations
- Knowledge of OSHA Recordability and worker’s compensation a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with clients and
employees
- Previous ergonomic and/or occupational health experience is a plus
- Position may require proof of COVID-19 vaccination
