What are the responsibilities and job description for the AUSL Seasonal Ticketing Associate position at Athletes Unlimited?

In June 2025, AU transformed and expanded its softball business by launching the Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL), a premier professional women’s softball league. In 2026, additional teams have been added, converting to a fully city-based model, bringing in team owners, and building out ancillary business, fan and partner engagement opportunities.
Athletes Unlimited Softball League would like for you to join the front lines of our fan experience! As a Ticketing Associate, you are the first face our fans see when they arrive at the stadium. We’re looking for high-energy, friendly and customer-service-focused individuals who can balance technical tasks like ticket scanning and window sales with a genuine passion for customer service. This is a contract position and reports to the AUSL Ticketing Lead. The season will run from June to the end of July for Portland/Hillsboro and Salt Lake City. In Rosemont, the season will run from June to the end of August.
Schedule
- Approx. 4hr shifts on game days
- Shifts per week are market dependent but can range from 3-12 shifts based on staffing needs
- Gate Operations: Efficiently scan mobile and physical tickets at entry points while maintaining a steady flow of fans into the venue
- Box Office Sales: Process ticket purchases, and will-call using our ticketing software.
- Problem Solving: Act as a customer service expert to resolve seating issues, troubleshoot digital ticket apps, and provide seating directions
- Fan Engagement: Greet every guest with enthusiasm and a friendly demeanor that embodies the league's brand
- Prior experience in box office operations
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Strong problem solving skills with a customer-centric mindset
- Collaborative and flexible working style
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Availability for the AUSL season dates of mid-June to July (end of August for Rosemont)
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and non-traditional hours when in season
- Strong preference for candidates based in the following cities:
- Portland/Hillsboro, OR
- Rosemont, IL
- Salt Lake City, UT
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Performing job duties outdoors in summer weather, including exposure to heat, humidity, and direct sunlight
- Standing for duration of each shift (approximately 4 hours) while performing job-related tasks
As this is a seasonal position, traditional employee benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plans are not included. 1099 Contractors are responsible for their own taxes and insurance coverage.
