Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Youth Drone Instructor to lead engaging workshops and classes that inspire creativity and skill development. This hands-on class introduces students to the basics of drone flight, safety, aerodynamics, and creative challenges using beginner-friendly drones. The ideal candidate is tech-savvy, patient, and passionate about inspiring young learners in STEM levels.
Responsibilities:
- Teach students the fundamentals of drone flight, safety protocols, and drone technology.
- Supervise and assist students during hands-on flying sessions and group activities.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for children.
- Develop a curriculum, including fun challenges like obstacle courses or team missions.
- Monitor student progress, ensuring all participants are engaged and following safety rules.
- Set up and maintain drone equipment; report any technical issues.
- Communicate with program coordinators and parents as needed.
- Ensure classroom and outdoor areas are clean, safe, and organized.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children, preferably in a teaching, tutoring, or camp setting.
- Familiarity with drones, remote-control devices, or similar technology (training can be provided).
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Enthusiasm for STEM education and hands-on learning.
- Ability to adapt lessons to different skill levels and learning styles.
- Must pass a background check.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in Drone operations
- 1 years in teaching
- Has a reliable mode of transportation
- Competent in creating lesson plans
