Fence Yard Supervisor

Overview
We are seeking a Dedicated and Experienced Fence Yard Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our fencing yard. This role involves managing jobs, ensuring efficient order pulling, inventory management, and maintaining high standards of customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of various fencing materials, including chain link, wood, vinyl, aluminum fencing, and gate fabrication. They should be capable of operating heavy equipment and have excellent organizational skills to keep the yard running smoothly and safely.

Duties

• Manage and supervise fencing job(s) to ensure timely and efficient completion of projects while maintaining safety standards.
• Pull customer orders proficiently, ensuring accuracy and completeness for each job.
• Loading crews each morning for their scheduled jobs, checking off packing lists with crew leader to ensure all material is there.
• Unloading extra material from crews after jobs are completed to be put back in inventory.
• Write detailed gate tickets for fabrication in the welding shop, accurately conveying specifications and requirements.
• Communication with the scheduling office about gates that are completed for each job to be sent out, as well as walk-in customers.
• Maintain knowledge of fencing materials such as chain link, wood, vinyl, aluminum fencing, and gate hardware; stay updated on product features and installation techniques.
• Oversee inventory levels by knowing when to order supplies, how much to order, and keeping track of stock to prevent shortages or overstocking.
• Coordinate with Owner to ensure timely delivery of materials
• Operate heavy equipment safely and effectively within the yard environment.
• Ensure the yard is organized, clean, and safe for all employees and visitors.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing walk-in client inquiries professionally and efficiently.
• Proven experience managing fencing crews or similar construction-related teams.
• Extensive knowledge of fencing materials including chain link, wood, vinyl, aluminum fencing, and gate fabrication; CNC knowledge can be taught if necessary.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage inventory effectively.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
