Role Description The Men’s Grill Bartender is a full-time, on-site position located at Athens Country Club in Athens, GA. This role is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to members and guests in the Men’s Grill, following club standards and applicable regulations. Daily tasks include taking orders, making recommendations, ensuring accurate cash handling and POS transactions, and maintaining a clean, well-stocked bar area. The Bartender provides attentive, courteous customer service, coordinates with kitchen staff for food and beverage orders, and supports special events or functions held in the Men’s Grill. The role also involves adhering to safety and sanitation procedures, monitoring guest consumption responsibly, and contributing to a positive, team-oriented work environment.
Qualifications
- Strong Customer Service skills, with a focus on creating a welcoming and professional member experience.
- Effective Communication abilities for interacting with members, guests, and team members in a clear and respectful manner.
- Experience with Food & Beverage service in a restaurant, bar, or club environment, including basic menu knowledge and pairing suggestions.
- Proficient Cash Handling and POS system skills to ensure accurate billing and secure payment processing.
- Hands-on Bartending experience, including drink preparation, knowledge of cocktails and spirits, and responsible alcohol service.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry supplies, and work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation standards in food and beverage operations.
- Previous experience in a private club, hospitality, or upscale dining setting is preferred.
