Kitchen Line Cook

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and cooking, with experience in the restaurant or food service industry. This role involves preparing high-quality meals, ensuring food safety standards are met, and contributing to menu planning. The Cook will work closely with other kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences.

Duties

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
• Assist in menu planning, taking into account dietary restrictions and preferences.
• Ensure all food handling and safety regulations are strictly followed to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
• Collaborate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs for guests.
• Monitor food inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment throughout the cooking process.
• Participate in catering events as required, ensuring timely preparation and presentation of meals.

Skills

• Proven experience as a Cook in a restaurant or food service setting.
• Strong knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations.
• Ability to plan menus that cater to diverse dietary needs while maintaining quality and taste.
• Proficient in meal preparation techniques with attention to detail in presentation.
• Excellent time management skills, with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff and management.
• Familiarity with catering services is a plus but not required.
