Description:Athenix Solutions Group is looking for an Account Executive in the Annapolis Junction, MD area. This individual will be responsible for owning and growing a portfolio of cyber, intelligence, and mission-enabling programs across U.S. Cyber Command and aligned DoD/DoW components. This role oversees the entire business development lifecycle—from customer engagement and opportunity shaping through capture execution, proposal development, and contract award.The ideal candidate combines deep customer intimacy, capture discipline, and proposal leadership, with the ability to translate mission needs into winning solutions across cyber operations, readiness and training, zero trust, software development, and mission support services.Responsibilities:Account Ownership & Customer EngagementServe as the primary executive interface for USCYBERCOM, Service Cyber Components, Joint Staff, and aligned DoD//DoW stakeholders Develop and execute account growth strategies aligned to customer mission priorities an funding profiles Maintain trusted relationships with government decision-makers, acquisition officials, and industry partnersTrack and influence customer requirements well in advance of formal solicitationsOpportunity Identification & Pipeline ManagementIdentify, qualify, and mature new opportunities across various procurement channels, to include single awards, IDIQs, task orders, OTAs, and direct awardsOwn the PWIN strategy, shaping activities, teaming decisions, and win themesMaintain accurate pipeline forecasting in CRM tools (e.g., C2P), including gate reviews and executive reportingAlign opportunities with corporate competencies and capabilities, IRAD investments, and strategic partnersCapture ManagementLead or oversee capture efforts for priority opportunities, including: Competitive analysis and positioningSolution architecture and pricing strategyTeaming and subcontractor selectionRisk identification and mitigationDevelop and socialize capture plans, win strategies, and discriminators with ACS and executive leadershipEnsure compliance with internal capture processes and best practices Proposal DevelopmentTransition qualified opportunities into proposal executionProvide executive oversight during proposal development, including: Win themes and value propositionStoryboarding and color team reviewsCustomer-focused messaging and complianceCollaborate with proposal managers, solution architects, pricing teams, and SMEsSupport orals, Q&A, and post-submission customer engagementContract Award & Post-Award TransitionSupport negotiations, award activities, and customer debriefsEnsure smooth transition from BD to program executionCapture lessons learned to inform future pursuits and account strategySuccess Measurements (First 12–24 Months)Growth of qualified USCYBERCOM/DoD/DoW pipeline aligned to win strategyImproved PWIN on priority capturesSuccessful awards and task order winsStrengthened customer trust and account positioningSeamless integration of BD efforts into program executionRequirements:Active TS/SCI (with ability to maintain)PMP certification required 10 years of experience in federal business development, capture, or account managementBachelor's degree. 5 years additional experience or military service may be substituted in lieu of degreeDemonstrated business development success with USCYBERCOM, Service Cyber Components, and DoD/DoW cyber/intelligence organizationsProven experience managing full-lifecycle BD, from early shaping through proposal submission and awardStrong understanding of DoD/DoW acquisition processes, contract vehicles, and funding mechanismsExperience leading or supporting $25M–$250M pursuitsKey CompetenciesStrategic account planning and opportunity shapingCapture strategy and competitive positioningExecutive-level customer engagementProposal leadership and storytellingCross-functional collaborationData-driven pipeline managementMission-first mindset with commercial disciplinePreferred QualificationsDirect experience supporting Cyber Mission Force (CMF), defensive/offensive cyber operations, or joint cyber initiativesFamiliarity with Zero Trust, cyber training and readiness, software development, mission IT, or intelligence operationsFormal capture or proposal training Existing relationships with USCYBERCOM or DoD/ DoW cyber acquisition leadershipExperience operating in mid-tier or growth-focused defense contractorsTravel required to customer sites and industry events.Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability and protected veteran status
