Moab Charter School is seeking a passionate and creative Art and/or Music Teacher for grades K–8 to join our team immediately. We are looking for an educator who enjoys inspiring creativity, encouraging self-expression, and helping students develop a love for the arts.

Students attend school Monday–Thursday, with Fridays dedicated to teacher preparation, collaboration, and professional development.

Position Overview

The Art/Music Teacher will provide engaging instruction that allows students to explore creativity through visual arts and/or music. The ideal candidate will create a welcoming classroom environment where students feel comfortable experimenting, learning new skills, and expressing themselves.

This position may include teaching both art and music, or a focus on one area depending on the candidate’s strengths and school needs.

Responsibilities

Plan and teach engaging art and/or music lessons for students in grades K–8 Foster creativity, exploration, and appreciation of the arts

Develop age-appropriate lessons that encourage student participation Support school-wide events such as art week, performances, or exhibitions Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment

• Support a positive school culture aligned with Moab Charter School values Qualifications

• Teaching license preferred but not required for the right candidate

• Experience working with elementary or middle school students

• Passion for art, music, and creative expression

• Strong classroom management and communication skills

• Ability to work collaboratively with staff

• Flexible, positive, and student-centered mindset
