ATG Epower is seeking a Senior Commercial Solar Technician to lead safe, high-quality installations and mentor crews across, rooftop, carport, and ground-mount projects. Responsibilities
- Assemble solar-array racking, seal roof penetrations, and install all associated balance-of-system (BOS) components for commercial rooftop, carport, and ground-mounted projects
- Install PV systems, battery storage systems, and EV charging systems in compliance with manufacturer specifications, local codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices
- Perform commissioning and testing of systems to verify proper installation, functionality, and performance
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve system malfunctions and operational issues to ensure optimal performance and reliability
- Conduct necessary pre-installation roof repairs in accordance with project requirements and quality standards
- Read, interpret, and work from single-line diagrams, blueprints, and schematics to accurately execute projects from design to completion, ensuring technical accuracy and avoiding errors or assumptions
- Collaborate with crew members to complete projects efficiently and in accordance with company policies, safety protocols, and established installation procedures
- Maintain rigorous quality assurance and quality control practices, with a strong focus on safety, ensuring compliance with OSHA, NEC, and all applicable safety standards
- Communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing, including clear and timely email correspondence with customers, team members, and etc.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions and concerns in a courteous, respectful, and solution-oriented manner
- Safeguard confidential information with the highest level of professionalism and discretion
- Participate in mandatory training on new products, installation methods, and safety procedures; remain up to date with evolving industry standards
- Be willing and able to travel occasionally, including overnight stays, as required by project needs
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned to support company objectives
Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial solar PV installation and battery storage systems
- Extensive knowledge of tools, materials, and construction techniques
- Solid understanding of electrical systems, codes, and industry best practices
- Ability to work safely and effectively at elevated heights, on ladders, and in lifts using safety harnesses
- High school diploma or equivalent
- OSHA 30 certification
- NABCEP certification preferred
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work in a variety of outdoor weather conditions
- Capable of safely lifting and transporting materials and equipment up to 50 pounds
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with co-workers and actively participate in meetings
