We are searching for a proactive and detail‑oriented Human Resources Generalist to support daily HR operations and contribute to a positive employee experience. The HR Generalist serves as a key point of contact for employees, ensuring policies and procedures are consistently applied while supporting organizational goals. This position reports to the Human Resources Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Staffing
· Manage attorney recruitment and administrative staffing, including job postings, resume screening, interview coordination, and offer processes
· Serve as the primary coordinator for new attorney training
Onboarding, Offboarding & Training
· Oversee onboarding and offboarding for attorneys and staff, ensuring a smooth and professional experience
· Conduct and coordinate new hire orientation, introducing firm culture, policies, and resources
· Coordinate monthly firm meetings and assist with firm event planning
· Support professional development by coordinating internal and external training opportunities
Employee Relations & Culture
· Provide coaching and guidance to supervisors and direct reports to support healthy working relationships
· When specialized coaching or training is needed, partner with outside vendors or resources to deliver effective solutions
· Support firm culture initiatives, engagement efforts, and retention strategies
Benefits, Payroll & Compliance
· Administer employee benefits, including enrollments, changes, terminations, and employee inquiries
· Coordinate annual open enrollment, partnering with brokers and vendors to ensure accurate communication and timely completion
· Process payroll by preparing and verifying employee data, reviewing timesheets, and partnering with CTR HR/Payroll
· Maintain HRIS data, personnel files, and compliance documentation
· Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and firm policies
General HR Operations
· Assist with performance review cycles and professional development initiatives
· Contribute to HR process improvements and special projects as needed
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
· Minimum of 3 years of HR experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment
· Experience with recruitment, benefits administration, open enrollment, and payroll coordination
· Strong understanding of employment laws and HR best practices
· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
· High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
· Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
· PHR or SHRM‑CP certification a plus
