Position: Financial Reporting Manager


Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our finance and accounting team as a Manager of Financial Reporting. In this position, you will be responsible for the preparation of the Company’s consolidated and separate company financial statements. This position requires a strong background in financial reporting as well as excellent communication and organization skills. This is a hybrid role based in our Midtown Manhattan office, requiring 3 days per week on-site.


Responsibilities:

  • Prepare annual and quarterly consolidated U.S. GAAP basis financial statements, notes and supplemental schedules, management's discussion and analysis (MD&A) and press release, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and requirements (SEC and U.S. GAAP)
  • Prepare GAAP and statutory basis financial statements of the Company’s insurance subsidiaries
  • Ensure compliance with and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including legal, finance, and investor relations, to gather necessary information for the Company’s consolidated and separate company financial statements.
  • Stay current on changes in regulations and reporting standards, assessing their potential impact on the Company’s financial reports
  • Provide guidance and support to cross-functional teams on SEC/U.S. GAAP/Statutory reporting requirements and best practices
  • This hybrid role works in our Midtown Manhattan office three days per week.


Qualifications:

  • BS/BA in Accounting
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or pending experience requirement
  • Five (5) years of experience in public accounting and/or financial reporting for an SEC registrant
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
  • Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements, notes, and MD&A
  • Insurance industry experience preferred
  • Experience with Workiva financial reporting software
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and data integrity
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Authorization to work in the United States is required, this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
