Warehouse Clerk I

SUMMARY

• Receive, store, and issue equipment, material, supplies, merchandise, tools, and compile stock records in stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.
• Organize warehouse space.
• Receive, unload and place incoming inventory items appropriately.
• Keep the warehouse clean and organized daily.
• Show a high level of ownership, accountability, and initiative.
• Show proven experience of working well within a team.
• Ability to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment.
• Count, sort, or weigh incoming articles to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoices.
• Store articles in bins, on floor or shelves, according to identifying information such as style, size, or type of material.
• Assist in everyday stockroom duties, as needed.
• Cut stock to fill order.
• Follow Safety Policies and Procedures.
• Ensure activities are conducted in accordance with Celtech International Standards Organization (ISO9000) policies and correct and report any deviations to appropriate area manager/supervisor.

ISO9000 SPECIFIC DUTIES

• Be familiar with and understand Celtech Quality Policy and company objectives.
• Understand required ISO9000 specific Procedures and Work Instructions.
• Complete all records required by Procedures and Work Instructions.
• Participate in Celtech Continuous Improvement activities as appropriate.
• Participate in ISO9000 training as required.
• Cooperate with Auditors.
• Report any deviations to appropriate area manager/supervisor.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or General Education Degree; or related experience and/or training; or 1-2 years of prior experience in a similar role or combination.
• Being comfortable using various computer programs to create and maintain records digitally, including MS Office Suite, Foxit Phantom, etc.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

• Valid New Mexico driver’s license required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit., use hands to handle equipment, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, must be able to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
• Extended work hours and/or travel may occasionally be required.
• Non-climate-controlled warehouse environment.
