What You’ll Do
As an Estimator, you will:
- Prepare independent ATC (owner’s) cost estimates for projects.
- Analyze and compare contractor estimates for labor, equipment, materials, and risk.
- Develop detailed construction estimates and conceptual scope alternatives.
- Validate scope changes and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate and timely information.
- Incorporate historical data and feedback to continuously improve estimating processes.
- Monitor projects during construction for change orders and cost optimization.
- Stay informed on industry trends, materials, and methodologies.
- Periodically travel to job sites and other ATC offices.
What You’ll Bring
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Preferred fields: Construction Management, Project Management, Business, Engineering, or related sciences.
- Experience:
- 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Minimum 3 years in engineering, construction management, project management, or utility project control roles.
- Skills & Knowledge:
- Proficiency in MS Word and intermediate MS Excel skills.
- Understanding of work breakdown structure estimating methodology.
- Knowledge of electrical transmission industry.
- Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.

The base pay range for this position is $87,300 to $101,800 annually.* Base pay is one component of our comprehensive total rewards package which includes an annual incentive bonus, employer-sponsored pension plan, 401(k) match, HSA contribution, life & disability insurance, health care benefits, generous time off plans, flexible work arrangements, and much more.
