What are the responsibilities and job description for the CAD Technician position at ATC Power Systems Inc?
We have an opening for a computer aided design (CAD) technician. You will be required to have a knowledge of 2D & 3D drawings software. The proper candidate will be able to use computer software including but not limited to Auto Cad, Solidworks, and/or Inventor as needed to create and maintain these drawings. This effort will be needed to create drawings and schematics to develop, design and manufacture our products. Long term the ideal CAD technician candidate will be able offer input during the design stage of projects as they learn from senior electrical and mechanical engineers. The initial short-term requirement is only to be able to open and modify existing drawings. We are not looking for a designer at this stage. Rather we are looking to develop the right candidate into a designer after they learn our products.
Depending on knowledge, skills, and experiences there is potential to help in other key areas of the business as well but not required.
In addition to the CAD work there will be a need for the right candidate to maintain product documentation. This includes the above-mentioned software as well as Microsoft Office.
Salary commensurate with experience:
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $43.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
