Diesel Technician – 1st & 2nd ShiftATC, Inc. – Cedar Rapids, IA
$25 – $49 per hour | Full-time
ATC, Inc. is looking for an experienced Diesel Technician to join our 1st and 2nd shift team. This position is ideal for a skilled technician with strong diagnostic ability, hands-on repair experience, and a solid background in truck and tractor-trailer maintenance.
What You’ll Do
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel trucks, tractors, trailers, and related equipment
- Perform maintenance and repairs on major components, including engines, transmissions, and differentials
- Use diagnostic equipment, hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment as needed
- Complete inspections, document repairs, and ensure work is performed safely and accurately
- Work independently and as part of a team in a professional shop environment
What We’re Looking For
- 6 years of practical experience with truck and tractor-trailer maintenance
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with engines, transmissions, differentials, electrical systems, and general diesel repair
- Valid driver’s license required
- CDL preferred
- OEM training, ASE certifications, and 608/609 certifications preferred
- Experience using tools of the trade, including diagnostic equipment, welding equipment, hand tools, and power tools
- Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic
Schedule & Pay
- 1st Shift and 2nd Shift available
- Full-time position
- $25 – $49 per hour, based on experience
- 2nd shift differential available
