Steel Sales Representative

Job Summary

ATA Steel is seeking a motivated, results-driven Sales Representative with a strong understanding of Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings (PEMB) and structural steel to develop new business, build client relationships, and drive sales growth.

We are specifically looking for someone who understands both PEMB and structural steel—not just a general sales professional. The ideal candidate will have industry knowledge, understand steel construction project requirements, and be comfortable working with general contractors, developers, and other construction professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate new leads and develop business opportunities in PEMB and structural steel.
• Build and maintain relationships with general contractors, developers, builders, fabricators, and erectors.
• Understand customer needs, project requirements, construction drawings, and steel building packages.
• Prepare and follow up on quotes, proposals, and sales opportunities.
• Negotiate pricing, develop client relationships, and close sales.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline and consistently pursue new business opportunities.

Requirements

• Demonstrated knowledge of both PEMB and structural steel is required.
• Previous experience in steel sales, metal building systems, or construction-related sales.
• Understanding of steel building components, project specifications, and construction processes.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to generate leads, manage opportunities, and close sales independently.
• Existing industry contacts and a proven sales track record are a plus.

Compensation

• Base salary: $3,000 per month ($36,000 annually).
• Additional commission: Based on the company's commission structure.
• Opportunity to increase total earnings through successful sales performance.
