POSITION SUMMARY:

We're looking for a talented CNC Machine Tool Technician to join our team! This exciting role involves troubleshooting, problem-solving, performing preventative maintenance, servicing, and repairing machine tools both at customer sites and at our company facility. As part of our team, you'll be responsible for ensuring all tasks are completed with the highest quality, efficiency, and timeliness. You'll collaborate with team members and contribute to process improvements that drive customer satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with CNC Machine Tools.
  • Perform high-quality, efficient, and timely machine/tooling installations.
  • Conduct repairs and preventative maintenance to keep machines running smoothly.
  • Maintain strict quality standards and follow safety procedures in all work.
  • Train customers and internal team members on proper installation, service, and repair procedures for both current and new equipment/machines.
  • Accurately document all actions, findings, parts required, and repairs using Service software, with reporting required within 24 hours.
  • Collaborate with team members, internal departments, and external vendors to resolve service and repair challenges.
  • Continuously improve processes, making recommendations for machine/equipment, procedure, and process improvements.
  • Maintain excellent communication with customers, keeping them informed of arrival times, progress updates, and job completion.
  • Participate in continuous professional development through training, seminars, and external resources.
  • Ensure cleanliness, care, and upkeep of all company property.
  • Support and perform additional job functions as required, based on business needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associates Degree or certification in the troubleshooting, repair, and installation of CNC Machine Tool Products.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in troubleshooting, installation, and repair of CNC machine tools.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record, with the ability to legally operate a company service vehicle or your personal vehicle for company business (initially may require use of personal vehicle).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain professionalism when dealing with customers, peers, and external vendors.
  • A self-starter with strong organizational skills, able to effectively plan and execute tasks.
  • A team player who collaborates across departments and divisions.
  • Proficient in using PCs and job-related software for programming, documentation, and record-keeping.
  • Physical requirements include bending, stooping, standing, climbing, and lifting up to 50 lbs (or more with assistance).
  • Flexibility to work weekends, evening hours, and travel as required by customer needs (including out-of-state or international travel).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid passport, as well as a major credit card for business expenses and travel.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Work uniforms are provided by the company.
  • Manufacturing work environment that includes mechanical parts, equipment noise, and exposure to various non-hazardous and hazardous chemicals and airborne particles.
  • Hands-on work with machine tool equipment, including LCD viewing and key entry.
  • Internal/external communication with customers, vendors, and suppliers.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40.00 - $42.00 per hour
