Outside Sales Representative

Location: Greater Tampa / St. Petersburg, FL

Territory: Tampa Bay Market

About the Opportunity

Our client is a growing leader in the luxury residential building products industry and is expanding its presence throughout the Tampa Bay market. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company in growth mode and play a major role in building relationships, driving sales, and establishing market share within the custom home builder community.

This is a highly field-focused outside sales role, with approximately 80% of time spent in the market developing new business relationships. The company’s Tampa showroom is not expected to open until late 2026 or early 2027, so this position is heavily relationship-driven and centered around prospecting, networking, and builder engagement.


Position Overview

The Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for developing and growing relationships with custom home builders, contractors, developers, and other industry professionals throughout the Tampa/St. Petersburg area. This role is ideal for someone with strong existing relationships in the Tampa market and experience selling products tied to the residential construction industry.

The company is particularly interested in candidates with backgrounds in:

  • Garage door sales
  • Luxury appliance sales
  • Builder-focused outside sales
  • Residential construction product sales

Candidates without direct industry experience may still be considered if they bring strong builder relationships and established market connections.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new business opportunities throughout the Tampa Bay market
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with custom home builders, contractors, and developers
  • Prospect and hunt for new accounts through networking, cold outreach, referrals, and market visibility
  • Meet with customers in the field on a daily basis
  • Identify opportunities to expand market penetration and grow territory revenue
  • Partner with leadership to develop territory growth strategies
  • Maintain strong knowledge of the local residential construction and luxury home market
  • Track sales activity, customer engagement, and pipeline development
  • Represent the company professionally within the builder and construction community


Ideal Background

  • Outside sales experience targeting builders or residential construction professionals
  • Experience in garage doors, appliances, building materials, windows/doors, cabinetry, flooring, or related products strongly preferred
  • Strong network and relationships within the Tampa residential builder market
  • Hunter mentality with the ability to develop business from the ground up
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in the field
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Familiarity with the Greater Tampa / St. Petersburg market required
  • Non-compete considerations will need to be reviewed during the interview process


Compensation & Growth

  • First-year compensation target: $110K–$120K
  • Combination of base salary and guaranteed draw
  • Long-term goal is for the representative to exceed the guaranteed draw through strong sales performance
  • Significant growth opportunity as the company continues expanding in the Tampa market
