Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, cranes, and other heavy equipment to load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Perform order picking using RF scanners and
pick systems to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently. - Load and unload shipments, ensuring proper handling of materials with heavy lifting techniques and mechanical knowledge.
- Assist in shipping & receiving activities by verifying inbound and outbound shipments against documentation.
- Manage warehouse materials handling tasks including stacking, organizing, and storing inventory in designated areas.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA safety standards by conducting routine equipment inspections and adhering to safety protocols.
- Support warehouse management system updates to track inventory movements and ensure accurate records.
- Operate specialized equipment such as construction cranes or clamp trucks when necessary for large or heavy items.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow, improve safety procedures, and enhance overall efficiency.
Experience
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution or related logistics environments.
- Demonstrated ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, crane equipment, and other heavy machinery safely.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, OSHA regulations, and heavy equipment operation.
- Prior experience in shipping & receiving, order picking, or materials handling is highly desirable.
- Warehouse supervisor experience or leadership roles are a plus for candidates interested in growth opportunities.
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment maintenance or troubleshooting is advantageous.
