About the Role:

The Buyer plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient procurement of goods and services necessary for the organization's operations. This position is responsible for managing the end-to-end purchasing process, from identifying supplier options to negotiating contracts and finalizing purchase orders. The Buyer works closely with supply chain and inventory teams to optimize cost reduction strategies while maintaining quality and delivery standards. By leveraging global sourcing and ERP systems, the Buyer supports the company’s supply management objectives and contributes to overall operational excellence. Ultimately, this role ensures that materials and products are acquired timely and cost-effectively to support business continuity and growth.

This position is based on-site in Kenosha, WI. Relocation assistance is not available.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the full purchasing cycle including requisition review, supplier selection, negotiation, and purchase order issuance
• Collaborate with suppliers globally to source materials and services that meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements
• Utilize ERP and MRP systems to track inventory levels, forecast demand, and maintain accurate purchasing records
• Implement cost reduction initiatives by analyzing spend data and identifying opportunities for savings without compromising quality
• Coordinate with internal departments such as supply chain, production, and finance to align procurement activities with organizational goals
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements related to purchasing and supplier management

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing or supply management roles
• Proficiency with ERP systems and purchase order processing
• Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and global sourcing practices
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships effectively

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., CPSM, CSCP)
• Experience with MRP systems and bar code inventory management
• Familiarity with cost reduction methodologies and continuous improvement processes
• Experience working in a multinational or global sourcing environment
• Advanced skills in data analysis and spend management tools
