Asures HCM offering includes Payroll & Tax, HR, and Time & Attendance software and HR Services ranging from online compliance tools to a fully outsourced HR department.This is an on-site position located at our Santa Ana, CA location.How you will contributeOur Payroll Specialist III Small Business is an essential part of the operations team supporting our business clients and team members. Partnering to deliver expert payroll processing andour additionalservices. They own the activities necessary to provide dedicated quality processing services.Accurately enters andmaintainsemployee related information in the payroll system, including, but not limited to personnel changes, wage adjustments, garnishments, child support and liens, tax withholding changes, direct deposit, special withholdings, compensation and state unemployment codes, leave of absence, and termination forms.Administer all payrolls within an assigned portfolio of customers, ensuring all customerpayrollare processed ina timelyandaccuratemanner, and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.Produce preliminary payroll reports and compare them against time sheets and other payroll data, to confirm accuracy.Verify time and attendance records, wage computation, hours worked and pay adjustments, and post information intoappropriate records.Develop andmaintainpositive relationships with each client, serving as a trusted, go-to source for payroll processing support and best-practice recommendations.Respond to customer telephone and/or email inquiries and takeappropriate action, in compliance with customers Service Level Agreements.Responsible for quality control and auditing to ensure accuracy and low error or defect percentage.Assistwith month-end, quarter-end and year-end processes including communicating with clients on ACA activities and W2 pay/deduction code mapping verifications.Assistwith the training and re-education sessions with customers on system functions and changes in the regulatory environment.Assistand/or manage updates tocustomersleave (PTO) plans and ancillary products such as benefits and 401(k) plans.Pro-activelyand independently problem-solve issues relating to payroll and tax law inquires when necessary.Assistin the growth development of payroll specialists todifferent levelsby acting as a mentor, cross training on more complex client needs, and teaching Level II responsibilities to a Level IInterpret information in payroll publications to problem solve issues relating to payroll and tax law inquires when necessary.Partner with Product Support team to ensureclient facingknowledge documents areupdated timelyto reflect updates to technology and or regulatory data points.In depth understanding and setup ofcomplex: Time Off Accrual (TOA), Benefit Table HR Package information setup, VMR troubleshooting, and Time Clock troubleshooting/adding employees.Set up andassistwith changesofcomplex General Ledger for clients.Set up andassist with the creation of complex ADHOC reports.QualificationsMust have mastered all specific responsibilities of prior level Payroll Specialist positions.CPP certification or 5 years of yearsof automated payroll experience.Associate degreeinan accounting, finance or business, or equivalent work experiencerequired.
