Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, manage reservations using OpenTable or similar systems, and seat guests efficiently.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems (Toast)
- Prepare and serve a variety of drinks, including cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages, adhering to proper drink recipes and safety standards.
- Upsell menu items and beverage options to enhance guest experience and increase sales revenue.
- Process cash and credit card transactions accurately while maintaining balanced cash drawers at shift end.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas, including bar, dining room, and kitchen stations.
- Assist with food handling, food preparation support, bussing tables, and guest relations to ensure a seamless dining experience.
- Manage guest inquiries professionally, resolve issues promptly, and foster positive guest relations to promote repeat business.
Skills
- Extensive cocktail experience with knowledge of spirits, wine varieties, beverage presentation, and drink service techniques.
- Previous food service experience in restaurants or fine dining establishments; nightclub or nightlife experience is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while managing multiple tables or bar stations efficiently.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts without compromising quality.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and calculating bills or tips.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
