Role Overview

We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Ellucian Banner HR & Payroll Functional Analyst to support and enhance our Banner ERP system. This role focuses on the HR and Payroll modules, ensuring accurate configuration, seamless integration, and optimal performance to meet institutional and compliance needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the subject matter expert for Banner HR and Payroll modules, including Position Control, Benefits, Compensation, and Time Entry. Collaborate with HR, Payroll, and IT teams to analyze business processes and recommend system improvements.

• Configure, test, and maintain Banner HR/Payroll modules and related integrations.

• Troubleshoot functional issues and provide end-user support and training.

• Document workflows, system configurations, and business requirements.

• Participate in system upgrades, patch testing, and implementation of new features.

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional policies.

• Support reporting and data analysis using SQL and reporting tools.

• Coordinate with vendors and consultants to implement best practices and system enhancements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, or related field. 3–5 years of experience with Ellucian Banner HR and Payroll modules.

• Strong understanding of HR and payroll operations and compliance requirements.

• Proficiency in SQL and data reporting tools.

• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Experience with Ellucian Workflow, Position Description, or integration with Finance modules is a plus.
