PeopleSoft Application Developer- HCM expert

Astute Business Solutions is an Oracle Cloud partner and PeopleSoft, Oracle EBS, and Banner consulting firm based in Dublin, CA.  Astute is currently looking to hire two PeopleSoft 9.2 Application Developers with HCM expertise and a solid background in PeopleTools development. You’ll work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions that enhance and modernize our PeopleSoft landscape.

Job Title: PeopleSoft Application Developer – HCM Expert

Location: Remote with 25% travel

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and test technical solutions for PeopleSoft HCM modules using PeopleTools 8.59, PeopleCode, Application Engine, Application Packages, SQR, and Integration Broker.
   

• Lead customization and implementation efforts across modules like Talent Acquisition Management, Workforce Administration, Benefits, Absence Management, Compensation, and Performance Management.
   

• Utilize fluid UI, Event Mapping, and workflow tools to deliver modern user experiences and scalable configurations.
   

• Develop and optimize SQL queries and PS/Queries for troubleshooting, data validation, and reporting.
   

• Create and maintain data conversion scripts and support the migration of historical data as part of upgrade projects.
   

• Integrate PeopleSoft HCM with external systems, ensuring data integrity and seamless user interaction.
   

• Perform code reviews and collaborate with stakeholders throughout the software development life cycle.
   

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 8 years of hands-on PeopleSoft HCM development experience.

• Experience working for federal government, state or county entities is a plus
   

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

• Must be a US Citizen. H1B/EAD/Green card will not be considered.

• Ability to travel 0-25%, on average, on an as needed basis.
   

• Proven experience with PeopleSoft 9.2 PUM 39 and modern development approaches within the PeopleSoft ecosystem.
   

• Strong grasp of COBOL stored procedure customization, interface development, and third-party integrations.
   

• Advanced proficiency in SQL, Oracle, and SQL Server databases.
   

• Experience working in large-scale, enterprise environments and navigating matrixed organizational structures.
   

• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
