Seasonal Area Manager

Join Asturi Group’s Winter Operations division as an Area Manager 2, leading crews, coordinating equipment, and managing materials across an assigned winter service zone. Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, you will help prepare sites before storms and oversee field operations during snow and ice events. This seasonal role runs from October 15 through April 1 and requires availability for every winter event, at any hour, including overnight. Employment ends at season close; opportunities to return depend on performance and business need.

• Oversee service delivery across all assigned sites, ensuring crews meet company standards during every winter event.
• Complete two site checks per week across assigned sites between events, and conduct ice checks and refreeze monitoring throughout the zone.
• Assist the Regional Operations Manager with pre-storm planning, staffing, and crew communication.
• Keep depots and site salt bins stocked and ready, monitoring and reporting salt and ice melt levels, equipment condition, and staging needs.
• Support crew and equipment mobilization, material restocking, and the handling of out-of-service equipment.
• Confirm personnel clock-ins at the start of plowing and direct salt truck drivers during pretreatment and post-treatment operations.
• Coordinate site coverage, address equipment issues, and support operators throughout each event.
• Check every assigned site before the end of each event and review and approve event time accurately and promptly.
• Make operational decisions within the zone and communicate them to Dispatch, with the Regional Operations Manager serving as the final authority.
• Travel to assist other markets when assigned by the Regional Operations Manager.

• Verified experience performing commercial winter operations.
• Experience leading field crews in snow removal, landscaping, construction, or a comparable operation.
• Ability to operate and assess the condition of trucks, loaders, skid steers, and attachments.
• Ability to maintain service standards and lead crews working in cold conditions and overnight.
• Availability for every winter event, at any hour, throughout the October 15–April 1 season.
• Comfort learning and using company operating systems.
• Valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets company underwriting standards.
• Ability to pass a drug screening.
• Preferred: familiarity with the assigned market and its sites, and willingness to travel to support other markets.
