Responsibilities:
- Process full-cycle payroll accurately and on schedule for all employees
- Maintain and audit payroll records, ensuring data integrity and compliance
- Calculate wages, overtime, deductions, bonuses, and garnishments
- Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve employee payroll inquiries
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations
- Prepare and submit payroll tax filings, W-2s, and other required reports
- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to support onboarding, benefits, and reporting needs
Requirements:
- 2 years of payroll processing experience required
- Proficiency with payroll software (ADP, Paychex, or similar platforms preferred)
- Strong knowledge of federal and Illinois state payroll tax laws and regulations
- High level of accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general accounting principles
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to meet strict deadlines
- CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) designation is a plus
